If you’re watching Reacher Season 4 hoping to see Frances Neagley pop up, there’s some bad news: Maria Sten‘s fan-favorite character isn’t part of the new season.
But don’t worry, Reacher fans. You’re not saying goodbye to Neagley just yet. She’s getting her own show.
Neagley, the latest series in the Prime Video action franchise, puts Sten’s character front and center for an eight-episode mystery of her own. And while Neagley won’t be turning up in Reacher Season 4, there’s a pretty fun consolation prize for fans of the character: Alan Ritchson‘s Jack Reacher will appear in Neagley.
So, when can you watch Neagley? And how exactly does Reacher factor into the spinoff? Here’s what to know.
Is Neagley in Reacher Season 4?
No. Frances Neagley is not in Reacher Season 4.
The fourth season of Reacher finds Jack Reacher dealing with another dangerous conspiracy, with Ritchson leading a new set of characters and adversaries. The eight-episode season premiered August 12, with the first three episodes released together before the remaining episodes began arriving weekly.
The Season 4 finale is set for September 16.
And that date just happens to be a big one for Neagley, too.
When does Neagley Season 1 premiere?
Neagley premieres Wednesday, September 16, 2026, on Prime Video.
There’s no waiting around for the next episode, either. All eight episodes will be available to stream at once.
So, as Reacher Season 4 comes to an end, Neagley will be getting her own turn in the spotlight.
What is Neagley about?
After years of working alongside Reacher, Neagley is ready to tackle a case without him.
The new series finds her working as a private investigator in Chicago. Neagley is a former member of the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit, the elite group that Reacher helped establish, so she’s no stranger to dangerous cases.
This one hits a little closer to home.
Neagley learns that a friend from her past has died in what appears to be an accident. She’s not convinced that’s what happened, though, and starts looking into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Her investigation eventually puts her on the trail of a dangerous cult and a much bigger conspiracy, forcing Neagley to rely on the skills that made her such a valuable member of Reacher’s old team.
Basically, she’s got a new case, a new city and plenty of trouble to deal with.
Will Jack Reacher be in Neagley?
Yes.
While Neagley won’t appear in Reacher Season 4, Ritchson will reprise his role as Jack Reacher in the spinoff.
Reacher’s appearance gives the two longtime friends a chance to reunite, but Neagley isn’t simply Reacher with a different name. The series is designed to stand on its own, with Neagley taking the lead and facing a mystery that’s very much her own.
That said, it’s hard to imagine a show about Neagley completely leaving Reacher out of the equation. The pair have a long history, dating back to their time together in the 110th.
Who stars in Neagley?
Sten leads the series as Frances Neagley, returning to the role she first played in Reacher.
She’s joined by Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph as Renee Birdwhistle and Jasper Jones as Keno. Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman also star as Pierce Woodrow and Lawrence Cole.
The series comes from Reacher creator Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, expanding the world of the Lee Child adaptations with a character who has already become a standout among fans.

How does Neagley connect to Reacher?
Neagley isn’t exactly a newcomer to the Reacher universe.
She first appeared in Season 1 as one of Reacher’s closest allies and fellow members of the 110th Special Investigations Unit. Over the course of the series, it became clear that she’s one of the few people Reacher genuinely trusts.
Now, she’s heading out on her own.
Neagley moves the character to Chicago, where she works as a private investigator and gets pulled into a mystery involving someone from her past. Reacher may not be around for most of the investigation, but his connection to Neagley remains—and Ritchson’s appearance makes that especially clear.
So, no, you won’t see Neagley in Reacher Season 4. But you won’t have to wait long for her next adventure.
