Last week’s historic episode of Saturday Night Live featured a number of highlights.
The Alexander Skarsgard-hosted installment was the 1,000th episode of the historic late-night franchise, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. While Ashley Padilla continued to shine — she delivered one of the funniest performances of the year in “Mom Confession” — the episode was a breakout for Jane Wickline.
Not only was the sophomore cast member laugh-out-loud hysterical as a reluctant Olympian in the clever “Winter Olympics Promo” sketch, but she also delivered what may very well be the funniest line of the year in “Play Date.”
“Stop asking her if she knows stuff,” brought the house down. Wickline also earned huge laughs with her Scandinavian accent in “Scandinavian Movie 2” in what was basically a bit part. It was easily one of the funniest episodes of the season.
