Since Katie Dippold’s new Apple TV series Widow’s Bay premiered on April 29, it’s earned a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, is getting well-deserved Emmys buzz, and is even being called the show of the year! Needless to say, it’s a must-watch. So you won’t want to miss a moment of the charming horror-comedy starring Matthew Rhys, Kate O’Flynn, and Stephen Root.
After Widow’s Bay‘s two-episode premiere introduces key residents and acquaints viewers with the island’s dark past, the series delivers a scary Sea Hag installment, a brilliant standout episode starring Patricia (O’Flynn), and sees Mayor Tom Loftis (Rhys) take an unexpected trip. But in another twist, Widow’s Bay is departing from its typical one-episode a week release schedule when it comes to Episode 6 and Episode 7.
In a special two-episode event, Widow’s Bay Episode 6, “Our History,” and Episode 7, “Seasickness,” will drop together, which is sure to delight and confuse fans. While viewers will be thrilled to get double the Widow’s Bay fun and frights, some may wonder if Widow’s Bay ends with Episode 7. Or if there’s still more of Season 1 to come after the two-episode drop.
