The fourth season of Fire Country is officially in the books, so, spoiler, there’s no new episode tonight (May 29) on CBS. The network is reairing the Season 4 episode “Happy First Day, Manny” at 9:00 p.m. ET, along with repeats of Sheriff Country and Boston Blue at 8:00 p.m. ET and 10:00 p.m. ET, respectively.
Season 4 is in the books, so what does the future hold for Fire Country? Thankfully, all three of the aforementioned shows have been renewed for new seasons. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the previous two installments of Fire Country consisted of 20-episode seasons, while the show’s upcoming fifth season will reportedly consist of only 13 episodes.
When does Fire Country return with new episodes? Here’s everything you need to know.
Is Fire Country New Tonight (May 29)?
Nope. It’s a night of reruns on CBS, beginning with back-to-back repeats of Sheriff Country and Fire Country from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET. The night concludes with a rerun of Boston Blue.
Will There Be a Season 5 of Fire Country?
Yes! CBS’ Friday night lineup will remain intact, with Sheriff Country, Fire Country, and Boston Blue all scoring renewals.
When Does The Next Episode of Fire Country Air on CBS?
Fire Country is on CBS’ fall schedule, so we expect the fifth season to debut in October of 2026 on CBS.
“The CBS Friday night entertainment lineup has been No. 1 for an incredible 16 straight seasons, “CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach said at the network’s schedule reveal, “so we’re sticking with what works: Sheriff Country at 8, Fire Country at 9, and Boston Blue at 10.”
Unfortunately, as we mentioned above, the renewal for Fire Country comes with a reduced order. The show will reportedly have a 13-episode fifth season — down from the 20-episode third and fourth seasons.
