So, you just finished watching The Odyssey in theaters, and, apparently, 2 hours and 52 minutes (plus 30 minutes of trailers) just wasn’t enough for you. Before you run to the bathroom to relieve your bladder, you just have to make sure you’re not going to miss out on any possible Odyssey end credits scenes.
Well, allow me to free you from your movie theater prison: There is no Odyssey post credits scene.
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan—fresh off his Oscar wins for Best Director and Best Picture for Oppenheimer—the 2026 Odyssey movie is a retelling of the famous Greek epic poem by Homer, which tells the story of Odysseus, the Greek king of Ithaca, and his long journey home after the Trojan War. Matt Damon stars as Odysseus himself, while Anne Hathway stars as his wife Penelope, and Tom Holland stars as his son Telemachus, who await his return at home. The all-star Odyssey cast also includes Robert Pattinson as the suitor Antinous, Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy, Zendaya as Athena, Charlize Theron as Calypso, and Himesh Patel as Eurylochus.

Does The Odyssey have a post credits scene?
Nope! The Odyssey does not have a post credits scene, an end credits scene, a mid-credits scene, or any kind of extra scene after the credits start to roll.
That said, this movie cost $250 million to make, and a lot of people worked on it to bring this epic to the big screen. So, if your bladder can handle it, you might stay to watch the credits out of respect for the many people who worked on the film. Plus, you’ll get to enjoy the rousing film score, composed by Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson, including the song “When I’m Home,” which was co-written and performed by Nolan himself, musician James Blake, rapper Travis Scott (who plays the bard in the movie), and Göransson.
In fact, Nolan is reportedly known for not liking post-credit scenes. According to Man of Steel director Zack Snyder, Nolan once told him that “a real movie wouldn’t do that,” when Snyder was asked to consider adding a “comedy coda” to the end of his film, to mimic the style of Marvel. (That said, in a footnote, The Guardian clarifies that Nolan disputes the quote, saying he said, “We shouldn’t be chasing other movies, but stay true to the tone of Man of Steel.”)
Still, Nolan has never before included a post-credits scene in one of his movies, and The Odyssey is no exception. So be free, and go pee.
