Everyone misses John Oliver.
Yes, it’s hard to believe, but it has been almost a month since the last episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. While it’s completely normal for talk shows to go on a brief summer hiatus, it doesn’t make it any less painful.
There’s no denying Oliver hasn’t been making the most of his well-deserved break. The comedian is living it up! He just checked off a lifelong goal on his bucket list: having a guest role on General Hospital. Even better, Oliver gets to live out every soap opera trope by receiving a dramatic slap to the face. You know what they say: If you love your job, it won’t feel like work.
Now that Oliver must return to his actual job, audiences are in agony as they await the show’s return. After all, Oliver will have so much to cover in his month’s absence. Although we can’t predict what the next episode will entail, we’re here to give you all the information about the rest of the talk show’s 13th season.
