Ahead of the 15th season set to premiere on October 7, NBC has revealed more details about what series fans should expect. After all, a show that has lasted this long knows how to keep its audiences tuned in every week.
In an interview with US Weekly, Taylor Kinney revealed the importance of the Dick Wolf show. “It’s never lost on me how special it is to be a part of something with longevity,” he said.
“It’s a testament to [show creator] Dick Wolf and the team of people he puts together,” he added.

Is Joe Miñoso leaving Chicago Fire?

Today, Variety confirmed Miñoso is leaving the show. However, fans don’t have to won’t have to grieve just yet. According to the news outlet, Miñoso will be in a few episodes of the 15th season in order to give his character a proper goodbye.
The news is not too shocking after the show has recently experienced other cast and crew members joining and leaving the NBC drama. Victor Teran will replace Andrea Newman as the showrunner of the series, while actor Da’Vinchi will join the cast as a new firefighter.
Who did Joe Miñoso play on Chicago Fire?

Miñoso plays Joe Cruz, a character who has been on the show since the very first season. Cruz has always been a fan-favorite since the start of the series. Last season, Cruz had an emotional storyline with he and his wife having a tough journey to parenthood. After discovering he and his wife were expecting twins, his wife suffered a brief complication. Luckily, her health scare was due to a minor blood vessel problem. Fans have enjoyed seeing Miñoso’s character arc as he navigates the difficulties of being a father and a husband.
Towards the end of last season, Cruz was one of the firefighters whose lives were on the line after they were trapped in a storage facility with a collapsing roof. It’ll surely be interesting to see how Cruz’s storyline plays out after the news of Miñoso’s departure.
