The NFL is heading “Down Under” for the first-ever regular season game in Australia as the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams collide at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday Night Football!
The 2026-27 NFL regular season officially kicked off last night as the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 13-10 in a Wednesday night Super Bowl rematch. Sam Darnold and Antonio Brown both left the game with injuries, but Seattle was able to capture a sloppy Week 1 victory. Which NFC West team will join them in the win columnn?
The 49ers and Rams ended their 2025 regular seasons with matching 12-5 records. The division is once again expected to come down to the final week, so this Week 1 game is basically a playoff game.
