Earlier this week, Taylor Sheridan revealed that the previously announced 6666 spinoff is not happening. Yellowstone fans are familiar with the fictionalized version of the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas after Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White) was sent there during Season 4.
“There’s never going to be one,” Sheridan said about the potential spinoff on the Rodeo Time podcast. “I would never fictionalize that ranch… People thought that that was going to be a thing, but I would never do that.”
6666 may have been 86ed, but Yellowstone lives on with Luke Grimes’ Marshals and, of course, Beth and Rip in Dutton Ranch.

Not yet, but we have an idea of when the new season might drop on Paramount+.
Filming on the second season of Dutton Ranch is expected to begin in early 2027. Back in July, series stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the upcoming season.
Based on all the information we have, we expect Dutton Ranch Season 2 to premiere in the fall or winter of 2027 on Paramount+.
