You won’t be in a hurry to drive home after you watch It Ends in the movie theater this weekend, a new horror movie about teenage friends who find themselves trapped, driving on an endless road.
Written and directed by Alexander Ullom in his feature directorial debut, It Ends is a small indie horror flick that first premiered over a year ago, at the 2025 South by Southwest Film Festival, where it was met with overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics. The film stars Phinehas Yoon, Akira Jackson, and Noah Toth as three recent high school graduates who get picked up by their estranged friend Tyler (Mitchell Cole), who has been MIA for a year. When Tyler turns onto a forested, two-lane highway and can’t seem to find a turnoff or a way off the street, the friends wonder if they will ever be able to get off this road.
Despite the film’s good reviews, It Ends struggled to find distribution immediately. Back in December, it was released on digital on Letterboxd’s new video-on-demand platform, Letterboxd Video Store, where it was available to watch for about a month. However, It Ends is no longer available to watch in the Letterboxd Video Store, or anywhere online. Now, the film is finally being distributed in theaters by Neon.
If you want to watch the movie at home, then read on to learn about when and where we expect to be able to watch the It Ends movie at home.

Where to watch the It Ends movie:
It Ends will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in U.S. theaters on Friday, August 21. (The movie first released online via the Letterboxd Video Store in December 2025, but was only available to watch there for about one month.) You can find a showing near you via Fandango. It Ends is not yet available to watch online or on streaming in the U.S.
Is the It Ends horror movie streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?
It Ends is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Neon release. In years past, Neon films eventually went to streaming on Hulu, thanks to the 2017 Neon and Hulu output deal. However, a recent 2026 Neon movie, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, went to streaming on Paramount+, instead of heading to Hulu. We’re not sure if this means the deal between Neon and Hulu is over.
It Ends will be available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime after the movie is released on digital, but it will not be available to stream for free with a Prime subscription any time soon, because it is not a Prime original. Based on previous Neon releases, we can guess that It Ends will be released on digital platforms in about one month, around late September or early October 2026. Just in time for spooky season!
If you want to watch It Ends movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms.
Will the It Ends 2026 movie be streaming on Hulu?
It’s not clear right now if It Ends will eventually stream on Hulu or not.
In years past, Neon films eventually went to streaming on Hulu, thanks to the 2017 Neon and Hulu output deal. However, a recent 2026 Neon movie, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, is coming to streaming on Paramount+ this week, and has not yet been streaming on Hulu. We’re not sure if this means the deal between Neon and Hulu is over.
Earlier this summer, a new production studio, Department M—founded by producers Michael Schaefer (best known for producing The Martian) and Mike Larocca (best known for co-founding the Russo brothers’ AGBO Productions)—bought a significant stake in Neon. So, it’s possible a new streaming output deal is in the works under the new leadership.
That said, another 2026 Neon movie, Nirvana the Band the Show the Movie, began streaming on Hulu about five months after it opened in theaters. If It Ends follows a similar release pattern, you may see It Ends on Hulu around late January 2027.
If you’re new to Hulu, the basic (with ads) price is $11.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $12.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.
But again, it’s not clear if the Neon and Hulu output deal is still on for the 2026 Neon films. If you want to watch the It Ends movie ASAP, your best bet is to see it in theaters.
